Hello Nicky We returned from a wonderful 2 week trip to Canada on Wednesday morning, 7th June. Roger and I wish to thank you both for the efficient service you offered us in securing our preferred arrangements : All reservations, without exception, went smoothly which ensured an enjoyable hassle-free holiday ! Just to give you a bit of feedback : ... BA flights (Heathrow - Vancouver / Toronto - Heathrow) were trouble free, other than a short technical delay on the outward flight. ... All 3 pre-booked hotels were excellent and well located for us. ... The Rocky Mountaineer really came up trumps ! (Note: we were very relieved to secure the correct booking documents on arrival at our Vancouver hotel !!) This two day rail journey is to be highly recommended ! ... Avis Car Hire provided us with a huge but comfortably manageable Dodge Charger at Jasper, which was safely returned unscathed at Calgary Airport as planned. ... Internal no frills Air Transat flight (Calgary - Toronto) was efficient and on schedule. And that was it ! BA's unfortunate problems took place during our time abroad and thankfully had been resolved by our UK return date. Thank you for your time, expertise and attention to detail. Dear Natasha, You wanted to know about our holiday. It was very good! The hotel was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful - I would say outstandingly so. The accommodation was very good, the food plentiful and mostly very good (though often the fresh fruit was unripe). We appreciated the courtesy bus providing transport to the town centre and the beach. There was entertainment provided in the evenings and we particularly enjoyed the birds of prey show. You already know about the transfers. We went on a couple of excursions booked through the hotel, one to Nerja and one to Ronda, and those were very good too (we have visited both places before several times and they are so wonderful). All the arrangements made with Horizon Travel went very smoothly, and the hotels were good. Although it was very cold and quite snowy in southern Ontario, we did not have any disruptions to scheduled travel, and the car hire firm were very helpful about letting us return the car to downtown London instead of the airport so that we could leave it near the train station. In case you find anyone else wanting to use Via Rail (the Canadian passenger train service), our experience shows that the economy class (think airline terminology) books up quite quickly, and standing doesn’t seem to be allowed. The accommodation (3 nights) was recommended to us by a friend who lived locally and not by Horizon Travel. Nevertheless it was quite adequate for our needs. With hindsight we might have chosen a hotel that was a little more upmarket but more costly. The rental car supplied by Hertz was a double upgrade at no extra cost to us so we were quite happy with that. The air flights by American Airlines were good with helpful cabin service. Our return flight itinerary was changed at short notice by the airline (due we were told to an overbooking on our original flight) and they gave us two seats together. Overall, we were very satisfied.

The holiday went very well and was enjoyed by all three of us. The surprise for my friend was even greater as he thought we were going to Bruge & didn’t realise we were going to Rome until half-way to the Rome hotel in the taxi! His comment was “doesn’t Bruge have a Roman influence?” The hotel was excellent and very central, weather was good and my friend had a great 70th birthday surprise . Good Morning Would like to say how much we enjoyed our trip to Lanzarote in November the apartment was so nice spacious and very clean although not air-con great location close to bars and restaurants with buses to other main tourist locations on the doorstep. Jet 2 made the flight very easy by taking our cases from the resort to the airport direct to Stansted Wanted to thank the team for all the help giving us in finding this holiday at short notice nothing too much trouble.

The service by horizon travel was second to none. Having not used them previously I was a little apprehensive however Nicola, the agent was very helpful, accommodating and brilliant with ensuring we got good value for money and finding the right deal for us. The holiday itself was great, hotel was amazing for what we paid and all hassle free. I would highly recommend horizon travel and will be using as our regular travel agent from now on. Thanks all!

Neil, I just wanted to thank you for the holiday you booked us at Laxfield this week. The accommodation was perfect, a beautiful log cabin, superbly designed and immaculate. The setting was idyllic with foxes and hares wandering about in the night. The location was only a few miles from lovely towns and country houses. If you can find anything like that next time we put in a request, we would be thrilled. Enjoy the good weather.

The staff at Horizon were very helpful at all times. The hotel was excellent value for the price...it was very convenient for transport into central Rome. There was a good choice of elements of continental breakfast and the restaurant provided excellent evening meals at very reasonable prices. Full marks for every aspect and every person with whom we came into contact. Thanks for a super city break in Rome.
